Marco’s Pizza Adds a Margherita Magnifico Large for $12.99

Spread the love

A large pizza covered with mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil is back at Marco’s Pizza. Still, the advertised $12.99 price comes with a detail worth checking before ordering: you need a promotional code, and some markets pay more.

Marco’s announced the return of its Margherita Magnifico on September 30, 2026, offering the large pizza at participating locations for a limited time. Most participating restaurants advertise the $12.99 deal with code TRYMARG. In California, Colorado, and Las Vegas, the promotional price is $16.99 with code TRYMARG2.

The returning pizza has more going on than its familiar tomato, cheese, and basil combination suggests. Here is what comes on it, how the offer works, and what could change your final bill.

What Comes on the Margherita Magnifico?

The Margherita Magnifico starts with Marco’s signature pizza sauce and thick slices of fresh mozzarella. The company also adds a shredded three-cheese blend, giving the pizza two distinct cheese components rather than just a scattering of mozzarella. The company slices Roma tomatoes in-store and arranges them with the cheese. A basil drizzle made from fresh chopped basil completes the central combination.

Marco’s describes the basil as specially sourced from California’s Central Valley, though the company’s own announcement provides that detail. Then come the finishing touches that distinguish this particular pizza from a stripped-down tomato-and-mozzarella pie.

Marco’s applies garlic sauce to the crust and sprinkles its Romesan seasoning over the pizza. Those extras matter when deciding what to expect.  The basil drizzle isn’t identified as pesto, and Marco’s hasn’t disclosed every ingredient in its drizzle or seasoning.

Likewise, the company describes a shredded three-cheese blend without naming the individual cheeses in its announcement. In other words, the product description tells customers the main components but not every recipe detail. There is no need to guess what goes into those finishing sauces to appreciate the distinction.

The Crust Gets Its Own Attention

The toppings may grab attention first, but Marco’s also emphasizes how it prepares the base. According to the company, it makes its dough fresh in stores daily, then lets it proof for at least 18 hours. Staff hand-stretch that dough into a thinner crust for the Margherita Magnifico.

That description refers to this pizza’s preparation, not necessarily a separate crust option customers can select. Marco’s has not specified an exact diameter or slice count in the announcement, either.

Chef Kathleen Kennedy, the chain’s director of culinary innovation, said the team developed the pizza by working through more than 20 recipes. That offers some insight into the company’s approach, though it doesn’t prove the finished version will please everyone.

How to Get the $12.99 Promotional Price

The advertised $12.99 price applies to the large Margherita Magnifico at participating locations outside the named regional exceptions. To claim that offer, customers must use code TRYMARG.

The difference is important in California, Colorado, and Las Vegas. There, Marco’s advertises the same large pizza for $16.99 with code TRYMARG2.

These are promotional prices, not confirmed regular menu prices. Marco’s has not established an ordinary undiscounted price in the announcement, so calculating a specific savings amount would be misleading.

Participation and prices vary by restaurant. Before assuming that the amount in an advertisement will appear at checkout, check the selected location and make sure the correct code is applied.

Where Can You Place an Order?

Marco’s says the promotion applies to orders placed in-store, by phone, through its official website, or through its app. The terms also cover delivery orders, subject to a restaurant’s delivery minimum and extra charges.

One important exception: the promotional offer does not apply through third-party delivery apps. Choosing a different ordering channel could mean missing the advertised deal entirely.

As of October 9, Marco’s website continued displaying the promotional codes and conditions. However, that does not confirm stock or code acceptance at every restaurant. A location-specific order check remains the best way to establish what is actually available.

Restrictions You Should Know Before Paying

A few limitations apply beyond choosing the right code. The promotion applies only to the large Margherita Magnifico. Substitutions aren’t permitted, and extras aren’t included in the advertised price. Customers also cannot combine this offer with other promotions or discounts, and catering orders are excluded.

For delivery, applicable fees and taxes are additional, and the required order minimum varies by restaurant. That makes the promotional figure different from a guaranteed delivered total. Marco’s describes the return as a limited-time offer available while supplies last, but its announcement does not provide a fixed expiration date.

The fact that the promotion was still published on October 9 doesn’t indicate how long it will continue. For anyone ordering for a group, confirming the pizza itself matters as much as checking the promotion. The deal doesn’t include unspecified add-ons.

Is It Worth Checking Out?

If mozzarella, Roma tomatoes, and basil sound like your kind of pizza, the returning Margherita Magnifico offers a specific combination to consider, with extra cheese, garlic-coated crust, and Romesan seasoning setting it apart.

The practical takeaway is simpler than the toppings: confirm participation, use TRYMARG or TRYMARG2 for your market, and check the total before paying. The advertised deal is attractive only if your restaurant actually honors it at the expected price.
