Philadelphia Cream Cheese has partnered with Mike’s Hot Honey to launch Philadelphia Mike’s Hot Honey Whipped Cream Cheese, a product combining Philadelphia Whipped cream cheese with Mike’s Hot Honey.

Philadelphia said the flavor is its first sweet-heat cream cheese offering in the United States. Mike’s Hot Honey is made with honey infused with real chili peppers, according to the company’s announcement.

The product is currently sold exclusively at Walmart. Philadelphia said it will begin expanding to additional retailers in January 2027. Philadelphia Cranberry Orange Cream Cheese and Philadelphia Salted Caramel Cream Cheese are also part of the brand’s new flavor releases and are available at major retailers nationwide.

Cranberry Orange is a limited-time offering, while Salted Caramel is a permanent addition to the Philadelphia portfolio, the company said. The company also said the new spreads can be used in foods including bagels, charcuterie boards, pizza, cinnamon rolls, cookies and pretzels.

Philadelphia said the Mike’s Hot Honey variety is made with real milk and cream and contains no artificial preservatives, flavors, or dyes. The company described the product as a whipped cream cheese with Mike’s Hot Honey’s sweet-and-spicy flavor profile.

Maddy Zingle, vice president of marketing at Philadelphia Cream Cheese, said in a statement that the company has added 10 new flavors to its lineup during the last two years.

Philadelphia also cited 2026 Datassential data saying nearly half of consumers have tried hot honey. It cited 2025 Innova data showing that 85% of consumers say familiar flavors influence what they eat and drink. The company included those figures in its product announcement.

Old El Paso enters the broth category.

General Mills’ Old El Paso has introduced its first broth products alongside two new canned soups inspired by Tex-Mex flavors.

The lineup includes Birria Style Beef Broth, Chicken Tinga Style Broth, Chipotle Steak Burrito Style Soup and Cheesy Beef Taco Style Soup. All four products are available nationwide at retailers, according to Old El Paso.

The Birria Style Beef Broth is seasoned with a blend of chilis, garlic, and lime. The Chicken Tinga Style Broth has tinga-style seasoning, the company said. Both broths come in 32-ounce cartons and are gluten-free, with no artificial flavors.

Old El Paso said the broths can be used in grains, pasta, ramen, soups, sauces and stews. Ben Bienert, business unit director for Old El Paso at General Mills, said the company introduced the products in response to demand for Tex-Mex flavors in meals beyond taco night.

The company’s Chipotle Steak Burrito Style Soup contains beef, rice, tomatoes, and corn. Its Cheesy Beef Taco Style Soup contains beef patty crumbles, tomatoes, corn, jalapeño peppers and black beans, along with cheddar and cream cheese.

According to Old El Paso, the soups are ready in minutes on a stovetop or in a microwave. The company said they contain 12 to 16 grams of protein per can and are gluten-free with no artificial flavors.

Old El Paso is a General Mills brand known for products including taco shells, tortillas, seasonings, and dinner kits. The broth launch marks the brand’s entry into the broth category.
