- 7 Frozen frog legs
- 1 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- salt black pepper to taste
- 1 tsp. granulated garlic
- 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp. flour
- 1 tbsp. corn flour
- 1 tbsp. starch
- 1 stick of butter
Defrost the frog legs. Rinse in cold water.
Soak in paper towel to remove excess moisture. Rub with salt and pepper. Leave to rest for 10 minutes.
Mix the flour, starch, paprika and garlic in a bowl with a dry whisk.
Melt butter in the microwave. Dip the frog leg into the butter, then coat in the dry mixture. Do the same with the rest of the legs.
Place the the legs in the air fryer. Cook for 8 minutes at 392°F.
Serve the feet with a side dish or your favorite sauce of choice. I chose orange mustard. It turned out very tasty.
Variations
For a different style of frogs legs, try sauteed frog legs.
Whip up 2 egg yolks in a small bowl.
Dip them in the beaten egg, then bread crumbs mixed with a clove garlic.
Heat olive oil or vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat, then fry over low heat until golden brown.
Topping Variations
In addition to presentation, there are several other tips that can help make your Air Fryer Legs truly remarkable.
Since the texture is quite delicate, it is important to pair them with sauces that will not overpower their subtle flavor.
A light drizzle of lemon-butter sauce, lime juice, juice of a lemon, or garlic aioli would be ideal for adding depth and flavor without overwhelming the dish.
Alternatively, try a simple herb butter or white wine reduction for an extra kick of flavor. Top with fresh parsley for final presentation.
