- 1/2 pound Lean ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 Large egg
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
- ½ cup Ketchup
- 2 cups mashed potatoes I used instant microwave potatoes
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and grease an 8×8 or 9×9 baking dish, or casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
In a medium bowl combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes in a large bowl.
Press the meat mixture into the bottom of the pan and spread the ketchup over the top of the meatloaf layer.
Make your instant mashed potatoes in a large mixing bowl.
Spread the mashed potatoes over the top of the meatloaf in an even layer.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, then remove the lid and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
