- 1 sheet puff pastry dough thawed
- 1 egg lightly beaten
- 1 can strawberry pie filling
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll the puff pastry dough and roll it out until it’s around 1/8th inch thick.
Cut the dough into 12 rectangles. Transfer the rectangles to the prepared baking sheet.
Bring the edges of the dough up and pinch the ends together to form a well in the center.
Brush the center and edges of each dough piece with egg.
Spoon the strawberries from the pie filling into the center of each rectangle.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown.
Remove the pan from the oven and allow the pastry to cool completely.
When the pastries are cool, whisk together the powdered sugar, vanilla, and heavy cream until smooth. Drizzle over the top of the tarts.
