West Palm Beach diners will have a new reason to head downtown on Oct. 16. Taste of West Palm Beach, a new citywide culinary event presented by DoorDash, will debut at CityPlace. According to the event’s organizers, more than 30 restaurants are expected to participate in the evening tasting event, which will include food samples, entertainment, and chef-led experiences.

The festival is planned for Friday, Oct. 16, at CityPlace, 700 S. Rosemary Ave. CityPlace and Related Ross announced the event as an expanded version of previous Taste of CityPlace programs, with a participant list that extends beyond the property’s restaurants. CityPlace’s official announcement provides event details, ticket information, and the restaurant roster.

The program is an event preview, not a restaurant ranking. It offers a concentrated way for ticket holders to sample a range of participating food businesses in one location.

A broader tasting event at CityPlace

CityPlace has hosted Taste of CityPlace events in the past. This year’s program is being introduced as Taste of West Palm Beach, with organizers describing an expanded restaurant lineup and added programming from DoorDash, Bank of America and Eataly.

The Palm Beach Post reported that the Oct. 16 event will bring more than 30 restaurants to CityPlace and include culinary experiences and live entertainment. The newspaper also reported that the festival marks an expansion beyond the earlier CityPlace-centered format. The Palm Beach Post’s event preview independently confirms the date, venue, and planned restaurant participation.

Organizers have said they may announce additional restaurants and activities before the event. Diners should treat the currently published restaurant list as a confirmed lineup at the time of publication, rather than a guarantee that every business or menu item will remain unchanged through the event date.

Restaurants named by organizers

CityPlace has named a mix of restaurants, bakeries, dessert concepts and hotel dining venues among the festival’s anticipated participants.

The list released by CityPlace includes Moody Tongue Sushi, Maman, Fuku, Moxies West Palm Beach, estiatorio Milos, Galley, Ela Curry & Cocktails, Mango Mercado, El Camino, Eataly, Felice, Popup Bagels, Hive Bakery & Café, True Food Kitchen, Malka, Harry’s, Adrienne’s, BuddaBerry, The Blue Door, Del Mar, Kitchen Restaurant, The Ben Hotel and Sloan’s.

The organizers also said the festival will include additional restaurant announcements and culinary collaborations ahead of Oct. 16. CityPlace’s festival release is the source for the published participant list and planned programming.

That range suggests the event will likely include several dining styles, from casual food and bakery offerings to restaurant dishes and dessert options. However, organizers have not published a complete item-by-item tasting menu. Ticket holders should not assume a specific menu item will be served unless the participating restaurant or event organizers confirm it later.

Tickets, hours and what is included

General-admission tickets are listed at $75 and are scheduled to provide entry from 6 to 8 p.m., according to CityPlace. Organizers say the price includes tastings from participating restaurants, live entertainment, culinary demonstrations, and sponsor activations.

VIP tickets are listed at $130. CityPlace says VIP guests will be admitted beginning at 5 p.m. and will receive access to the DoorDash VIP Lounge, two complimentary beverages, a curated gift bag, and VIP culinary experiences.

The Palm Beach Post also reported that general admission includes unlimited tastings from participating restaurants and that VIP access includes early entry and lounge access.

As with many ticketed tasting events, individual serving quantities, wait times, restaurant participation, and specific activities may vary during the evening. The event announcement does not guarantee that every item will be available for the full event, so guests should plan accordingly.

Proceeds are expected to support the food bank

CityPlace says ticket-sale proceeds will benefit the Palm Beach County Food Bank. The event announcement identifies the organization as the designated beneficiary of ticket sales.

The festival’s charitable component sits alongside its restaurant showcase. It is not presented as a food-distribution event or as a substitute for the food bank’s regular work. Instead, it is a ticketed culinary program that organizers say will direct proceeds to the nonprofit.

What diners should know before attending

Taste of West Palm Beach is scheduled to take place at CityPlace, 700 S. Rosemary Ave., in downtown West Palm Beach.

The publicized schedule lists VIP entry at 5 p.m., followed by general admission from 6 to 8 p.m. Ticket prices, participating restaurants, programming, and operational details can change, particularly as the event date approaches.

Before purchasing a ticket or traveling to the event, diners should check the official Taste of West Palm Beach information page and CityPlace’s official press release for current details. The Palm Beach Post’s local event coverage offers additional independently reported context on the debut festival.

For West Palm Beach diners, the central point is simple: Oct. 16 will bring a large, ticketed restaurant tasting event to CityPlace, with a local restaurant roster, scheduled entertainment, and proceeds designated for the Palm Beach County Food Bank.
