Burger King’s New Game Day Menu Has a Pretzel Burger and Nacho Cheese Chicken Fries
Burger King is going into game-day mode with a new menu built around the flavors you might expect to find near a stadium concession stand.
The fast-food chain officially launched its Game Day Menu on October 6, 2026, at participating Burger King restaurants across the U.S. The lineup is surprisingly focused, with just two food items: the new Game Day Pretzel Burger and classic Chicken Fries served with Nacho Cheese Sauce.
That second item deserves a little clarification. Despite descriptions like “Nacho Cheese Chicken Fries” floating around, Burger King hasn’t introduced a new cheese-coated Chicken Fries flavor. Instead, you are getting the familiar Chicken Fries with a separate cup of nacho cheese for dipping.
Still, between a soft pretzel bun, crispy bacon, nacho cheese, and a game-day sweepstakes, Burger King clearly wants to make your next football-watching spread a little more interesting.
The Game Day Pretzel Burger Is the Main Event

The star of the menu is easily the Game Day Pretzel Burger.
Burger King builds it around a flame-grilled quarter-pound beef patty, weighing it before cooking. From there, the burger gets American cheese, crispy bacon, crispy onions, and Nacho Cheese Sauce.
Instead of Burger King’s usual sesame-seed bun, everything is stacked inside a warm SUPERPRETZEL Soft Pretzel Bun.
It is basically a collection of classic stadium-food ideas packed into one burger. You have the salty pretzel, nacho cheese, bacon and crunchy onions, all paired with Burger King’s flame-grilled beef.
Interestingly, this idea didn’t come out of nowhere.
Allrecipes reported that Burger King tested an earlier version in 2025 under the name Game Day Pretzel Whopper. The nationwide 2026 release arrives with a different name, but the reported build is essentially the same.
So while Burger King is introducing the Game Day Pretzel Burger nationally as a new offering, some customers may have already encountered an earlier test version.
The Chicken Fries Are Simpler Than the Name Suggests

The second Game Day item is officially called Chicken Fries with Nacho Cheese Sauce.
And Burger King means that literally.
These are the chain’s classic Chicken Fries, not Chicken Fries covered in a new nacho-flavored breading or seasoning. The game-day twist is the separate side of Nacho Cheese Sauce that comes with them.
That matters because Burger King experimented with something more elaborate before.
According to Allrecipes, a 2025 test item called Nacho Chicken Fries used tortilla-chip breading. Burger King dropped that breading for the nationwide version and instead paired its regular Chicken Fries with nacho cheese dip.
In other words, do not expect the Chicken Fries themselves to taste dramatically different before they hit the sauce.
A launch-day review from Tasting Table purchased an eight-piece serving with the cheese sauce in the San Diego area. Burger King’s official announcement, however, does not confirm a standard piece count across the promotion, so availability could vary.
What Will the New Burger King Items Cost?
This is where things become a little less straightforward.
Burger King did not publish a nationwide suggested price for either Game Day item in its official announcement.
Tasting Table reported paying $11.99 for the Game Day Pretzel Burger and $7.49 for an eight-piece Chicken Fries order with Nacho Cheese Sauce at a San Diego-area restaurant on October 6.
Those numbers are useful as a real-world example, but you shouldn’t treat them as national prices. Burger King restaurants are largely operated by franchisees, and prices can vary by location.
Your safest bet is to check the menu at your nearest participating restaurant before ordering.
There Is Also a Game Day Sweepstakes

Burger King is pairing the menu launch with a four-week digital sweepstakes for members of its Royal Perks loyalty program.
The promotion includes weekly cash prizes of up to $5,000, along with $20 Burger King digital gift cards and game-day-themed prizes such as mini coolers, football and net sets, and cornhole sets.
Burger King says customers can participate through eligible purchases or Royal Perks crown redemptions. The official legal language also states that no purchase is necessary and points to a free entry method in the complete rules.
The sweepstakes is scheduled to end November 1, 2026.
One important distinction: November 1 ends the sweepstakes, not the confirmed final date for ordering Game Day food.
Burger King has not announced an exact end date for the menu itself.

How Long Will Burger King’s Game Day Menu Be Available?
Burger King says the menu launched October 6 at participating restaurants nationwide.
Secondary reports from Allrecipes and Tasting Table describe the food as a limited-time fall offering, but Burger King’s announcement does not provide a specific removal date.
That means anyone curious about the pretzel burger probably should not assume it will stick around permanently.
The announcement are alsodoesn’t confirm any Game Day-specific bundles, combo prices,, or free-food offers. Burger King mentions “digital exclusives,” but it does not spell out exactly what those offers include.
Burger King Is Keeping This Game Day Menu Small
Some limited-time fast-food promotions arrive with multiple burgers, sides, drinks, and desserts. Burger King is doing the opposite here.
There are only two officially announced Game Day food offerings.
The Game Day Pretzel Burger is the more ambitious option, combining beef, bacon, crispy onions, American cheese and nacho cheese inside a pretzel bun. The Chicken Fries keep things much more familiar, adding a stadium-inspired dipping sauce to an existing favorite.
Burger King Chief Marketing Officer Joel Yashinsky summed up the thinking behind the promotion: “Game day is about more than just the game.”
For Burger King, apparently, it is also an excuse to put nacho cheese on the table.
And for anyone whose ideal game-day meal involves pretzels, bacon, and something cheesy to dip, that may be reason enough to check the menu.
