If you’re familiar with the area, you’ll find it near Roosters and Hobby Lobby.

Local reports say construction began in May 2026, and the restaurant building covers about 5,200 square feet.

Early birds, this one’s for you!

The restaurant will open its doors at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 5.

After opening day, its regular operating schedule will be:

  • Monday through Saturday: 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Sunday: Closed.

That means customers can stop by for breakfast, lunch, or dinner throughout the week.

Whether you’re craving a Chicken Biscuit in the morning or a classic sandwich later in the day, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to visit.

Wear Cow Print and Get Free Food

Here’s where the grand opening gets interesting.

Chick-fil-A is celebrating with a special event called the Moove-In Party, and customers who dress for the occasion can score a free food item.

The rules are pretty simple. Wear cow-themed clothing or a cow-spotted accessory to receive one eligible free entrée or kid’s meal.

You don’t need to show up in a full cow costume, either. A simple cow-print accessory qualifies.

Breakfast choices include the Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuit, Egg White Grill, and four-count Chick-n-Minis.

For lunch or dinner, eligible options include the original Chicken Sandwich, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, eight-count nuggets, eight-count grilled nuggets, and five-count Nugget Kid’s Meal.

There’s no purchase is required, and the offer works inside the restaurant or through the drive-thru.

Just remember that it’s limited to one eligible item per person wearing cow attire, per day, while supplies last.

Expect Some Opening-Day Traffic

Whenever a popular restaurant opens for the first time in a city, it’s reasonable to expect plenty of curious customers.

Local officials are preparing for that possibility.

According to the Zanesville Times Recorder, police plan to help manage traffic around the new restaurant on Maple Avenue.

Commander Derek Shilling said traffic arrangements would include directing customers to the western side of the business.

If you’re planning to visit on opening day, allow extra travel time.

And if you’re not interested in the opening-day excitement, visiting another day might make for a more relaxed experience.

The Restaurant Is Bringing About 100 Jobs

The opening isn’t just about chicken sandwiches and waffle fries.

Chick-fil-A expects the new restaurant to create approximately 100 jobs, including full-time and part-time opportunities.

According to the restaurant’s job listings, hourly pay varies by position.

Front-of-house team members are listed at $12 to $16 per hour, while kitchen team members are advertised at $12.50 to $17.

Team leader positions range from $15 to $19 per hour, and director positions start at $20 per hour.

The company also highlights opportunities for professional development, educational assistance, and career advancement.

Interested applicants can find available positions through the restaurant’s official careers page.

Meet the Person Running the Restaurant

The Zanesville location will be operated by Preston Tippett, whose journey with Chick-fil-A began long before this opening.

Tippett started working for the company in 2008 when he was just 16 years old.

He later joined Chick-fil-A’s Leadership Development Program, where he supported more than 20 restaurants nationwide.

Now, he’s bringing that experience to Zanesville.

In the company’s October 29 announcement, Tippett described opening the city’s first Chick-fil-A as an incredible honor.

He also expressed enthusiasm about developing local employees and becoming involved in the community.

Chick-fil-A Is Giving Back to the Community

Another important part of this opening deserves attention.

In honor of the new restaurant, Chick-fil-A, Inc. announced a $25,000 donation supporting Mid-Ohio Food Collective’s hunger-relief efforts.

The Zanesville restaurant will also participate in Chick-fil-A’s Shared Table program, which helps redirect surplus food to organizations serving communities.

It’s a community-focused addition to the restaurant’s arrival, alongside the new employment opportunities.

The Bottom Line

Zanesville’s first Chick-fil-A officially opens November 5 at 6:30 a.m., and there’s plenty happening beyond the ribbon-cutting excitement.

Customers can look forward to indoor dining, drive-thru service, mobile ordering options, and a children’s play space.

The biggest opening-day attraction, however, might be the chance to get a free eligible entrée simply by wearing something cow-themed.

So, if you’ve got a cow-print shirt, hat, or accessory tucked away somewhere, November 5 could be the perfect time to put it to use.

Plan for crowds, check the promotion’s rules, and remember the free-food offer lasts only while supplies last.

For Zanesville residents waiting for their own Chick-fil-A, the countdown is almost over.
