Four More In-N-Outs Are Coming to California, From Los Angeles County to Stockton
The next In-N-Out in California might be closer than you think, but it is not necessarily ready for your lunch order.
The burger chain has added four California restaurants to the “Opening Soon” list on its Grand Openings page. Two are planned for Los Angeles County, one for the Inland Empire and one for Stockton. For people who live or work near those addresses, the update offers something more concrete than a rumor: In-N-Out has named the communities where it plans to open next.
It does not mean all four restaurants will open at once. The company has shared different expected time frames for the locations, with Stockton planned first and two Southern California openings expected to take longer. No specific opening day has been announced for any of the four.

Where the four restaurants are planned
The new Los Angeles County locations are listed at 6232 Craig Lane in Commerce and 1221 Santa Anita Avenue in South El Monte. In Chino, the company lists a restaurant at 8245 Pine Avenue. The fourth California address is 10537 Trinity Parkway in Stockton.
That places three of the upcoming restaurants in Southern California. Stockton is the only one of the four in the Central Valley, giving this update a reach beyond the Los Angeles area.
The Commerce address warrants a practical note for anyone already looking up the site. In-N-Out’s opening list gives 6232 Craig Lane, while local reporting has identified the restaurant site on Telegraph Avenue. Because the restaurant has not opened, the useful information for now is the confirmed city and the company’s opening status, rather than a route to a drive-thru that is not yet serving customers.
Another number could confuse. The company’s “Opening Soon” list also includes a restaurant in Hendersonville, Tennessee. That makes five upcoming entries discussed in recent coverage, but only four of them are in California. The Tennessee project is not a fifth California opening.

When could they open?
Stockton appears to be next. In comments reported by the Los Angeles Times, In-N-Out real estate director Matt Loevenguth said the company planned to open the Stockton restaurant in early October. He said Commerce was expected to follow later in the fall.
Chino and South El Monte have a longer projected wait. Loevenguth told the Times those two restaurants were set to open by early 2027. These are the company’s reported plans, not firm grand-opening dates; schedules can change before a restaurant begins service.
For Stockton-area customers, an early-October target is close enough to make the Trinity Parkway address worth watching now. Commerce has a less precise fall window. In Chino and South El Monte, the news is about a confirmed place on the company’s upcoming-location list rather than an imminent first meal.
The distinction matters because “Opening Soon” is a status, not an invitation to pull into the parking lot. In-N-Out’s Grand Openings page is the place to check for an updated listing before making plans to visit any of the four sites.

A California story with deep roots
For In-N-Out, adding restaurants in California is also a return to the geography that shaped the chain. Its first restaurant opened in Baldwin Park in 1948, according to the company’s history. Founder Harry Snyder also developed the two-way speaker box that let customers order from their cars, an early drive-thru feature closely associated with the brand.
The company’s early growth stayed remarkably local. In-N-Out says it had five restaurants, all in Southern California’s San Gabriel Valley, by its 10th anniversary in 1958. In 1973, its 13 restaurants were all in Los Angeles County. That history gives the planned Commerce and South El Monte locations a connection to the part of California where the chain first found its footing.
In-N-Out now operates far beyond its home state. The Los Angeles Times reported that the privately held company has more than 400 restaurants across 10 states, including more than 200 in California. Its upcoming Hendersonville location is one sign of that wider footprint. Yet this latest set of California listings shows that growth elsewhere has not stopped the chain from adding restaurants in its original market.
The four locations are not a new restaurant concept or a menu launch. Their significance is local: another In-N-Out planned for shoppers, commuters and neighbors in Commerce; a separate addition for South El Monte; a Chino restaurant for the Inland Empire; and a Stockton opening that, on the reported schedule, may arrive first.
For now, those communities have addresses and projected timing, but not four opening-day celebrations on the calendar. Stockton and Commerce are the locations to watch this fall. Chino and South El Monte are expected by early 2027. The final word on when each restaurant starts serving will come when In-N-Out announces it.
