Wooster’s First Chick-fil-A is Now Open with Free Food for Guests in Cow Attire

Wooster’s first Chick-fil-A is now open, with the new restaurant beginning service at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at 4147 Burbank Road. Opening day includes a cow-themed promotion that gives qualifying guests dressed in cow attire a chance to receive a free qualifying entrée or kids’ meal while supplies last.

The new location brings Chick-fil-A service options to Wooster residents at 4147 Burbank Road, where Joe Laughlin serves as the restaurant’s local Owner-Operator. Regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., with the restaurant closed on Sundays.

Guests can visit the restaurant for dine-in service, drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery, mobile pickup, and Mobile Thru options. The location also includes a children’s playground.

Cow-Attire Opening-Day Promotion

The opening-day “Moove-In Party” promotion is focused on guests who arrive wearing cow-themed clothing. Those wearing either a full cow costume or a cow-spotted accessory may receive one free qualifying entrée or kids’ meal. The offer can be redeemed inside the restaurant or through the drive-thru, and no purchase is required.

The promotion is limited to one qualifying item per person in cow attire and is available while supplies last. Guests do not need to purchase another item to qualify, but they must meet the cow-attire requirement to receive the offer.

The qualifying food options vary depending on the time of day. For breakfast, qualifying choices include the Chicken Biscuit, Egg White Grill, and 4-count Chick-n-Minis. Later in the day, qualifying options include the Chicken Sandwich, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, 8-count Grilled Nuggets, 8-count Chick-fil-A Nuggets and 5-count Nugget Kid’s Meal.

Community Details

Along with the opening, Chick-fil-A says the restaurant launch includes a $25,000 donation to Feeding America for distribution to hunger-relief partners in the greater Wooster area. The company also says the location will create approximately 100 jobs.

Laughlin said in Chick-fil-A’s Sept. 21 announcement, “Wooster has been home to our family for nearly a decade.”
