Potato Smorgasbord

I remember when I was a teenager, (yes, that was a really long time ago!) there was a restaurant at the mall that served nothing but fancy-filled baked potatoes.

I loved that place. However, for some reason, it didn’t last long.

Whatever you wanted to be stuffed inside a potato, they pretty much had.

Now, I like to visit McAlisters Deli whenever we are in Kansas or in Florida. We don’t have one here in NY, so I make my own.

Baked Potato Tips

  • For 3 or 4 potatoes, start with 6 minutes, flip, and set for 4 minutes. If they are still hard, repeat for another 4 minutes on high.
  • You can substitute sweet potatoes if you would like.
  • Some people like to jab the potato with a fork. I think that lets out the steam so I don’t.
  • You can add salt to the outside of your potato before cooking if you want. I do not. I let the individuals salt and pepper their own potatoes to their liking.
