Ingredients

  • 1 slap, baby back ribs 
  • ½ cup yellow mustard
  • 2 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce, optional

How to Make Baby Back Ribs

  1. Preheat your oven to 245°F.
  2. Clean the ribs and remove the membrane on the back to ensure a smooth surface.
  3. Pat the ribs dry with a paper towel.
  4. Spread mustard on both sides of the ribs to help tenderize the meat; don’t worry, it won’t taste like mustard.

  1. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, white pepper, and paprika on both sides of the ribs, but do not rub them in.

  1. Add seasoned salt on top, again, without rubbing it in.
  2. Wrap the ribs tightly in foil and place them in the oven. Cook for 2 hours.

  1. After 2 hours, carefully remove the ribs from the oven and open the foil.
  2. Add brown sugar, honey, and butter to the ribs.

  1. Tent the foil over the ribs, ensuring it doesn’t touch the meat.
  2. Return the ribs to the oven and cook for an additional hour.
  3. If you want to add BBQ sauce, brush it on the ribs, increase the oven temperature to 425°F, and cook for another 10 minutes until the sauce is nice and sticky.
