Ingredients Needed

  • Frozen meatballs
  • Bell peppers (any color), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Yellow onion, finely chopped
  • Tomato sauce
  • Garlic powder
  • Italian seasoning
  • White rice, prepared
  • Mozzarella cheese (optional)

How to Make Meatballs and Rice

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.

When the oil is hot, add the meatballs, peppers, and onions to the pan.

Saute, stirring often, until the meatballs are browned and the peppers are tender, around 10 minutes.

When the meatballs are cooked through, add the tomato sauce, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning to the pan. Stir to mix. Simmer for around 5 minutes

Stir in the cooked rice and sprinkle the cheese over the top of the mixture, if desired.

  • 2 15- ounce cans tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup white rice prepared
  • 1 cups mozzarella cheese optional
