Cheesecake in a Jar Ingredients
- Cream cheese, softened
- Powdered sugar
- Vanilla extract
- Whipped topping, thawed
- Graham cracker crumbs
- Cherry pie filling
- For exact measurements, please see the recipe card below.
Other supplies:
- Wide Mouth Mason Jars – Wide-mouth jars are better, however, you can use any jar you would like. Refer to the section below. lf-pint jars
- Heart cookie cutter – We use a heart cookie cutter to make these for Valentine’s Day dessert. However, you can use a shamrock cookie cutter for St. Patrick’s Day, a flag cutter for the 4th of July, Bunny for Easter, etc.
- Piping bag – Once again, while disposable bags are not a necessity, they are so less messy because you don’t have to clean them. But, if you have regular piping bags, go right ahead and use them. You can also just use a plain plastic baggie with the corner snipped off if that’s all you have to.
- Toothpick – The toothpick will help to smooth the edges of the heart once you place the cherry pie filling in the cookie cutter.
Can I Bake a No Bake Cheesecake
No-Bake Cheesecake is one of the best ways to enjoy your favorite cheesecakes without all the work.
I don’t know why anyone would want to bake a no-bake cheesecake. However, hence the name no-bake…there’s no need to bake, not even the crust.
Why is My No Bake Cheesecake Not Firm
Make sure that cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing it into the filling.
Another reason is overmixing can result in an overly soft mixture.
How to Make No Bake Cherry Cheesecake Jars
Beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
Fold in the whipped topping.
Place ¼ cup of graham cracker crumbs in the bottom of each half-pint jar.
Pipe the cheesecake filling into each jar, leaving around one inch of space at the top of each jar.
Place the heart cookie cutter in the center of the jar.
Carefully pipe more cheesecake mixture around the outside of the cookie-cutter, then fill the inside of the cookie-cutter with cherry pie filling.
Carefully lift the cookie cutter up to remove it. Continue filling the heart on top of each jar until all the jars have cherry pie filling on top.
Use a toothpick to smooth the edges of the heart, if needed.
Place the lids on the jars and chill for at least one hour before serving.
