What Kind of Pies Can I Use This With
These crusts can be used for many different kinds of pies.
Obviously, the main pie is cheesecake. I normally use a cheesecake pan rather than a springform pan so that I don’t have to wrap it in aluminum foil when doing the water bath.
I made this for my Easter Jello Pie recipe in a springform pan and it was perfect.
Here are a few more types of pies to use the graham cracker crust.
- Fresh strawberry pie
- Chocolate cream pie
- S’mores pie
- Mississippi Mud Pie
- Lemon
- Pumpkin pie
- Pecan pie
- Chocolate Pudding pie
- Banana Cream
How to Make the Perfect Graham Cracker Crust
Start by placing your graham crackers in a food processor if you are using full sheets.
If you are using crushed cracker crumbs, measure them out into a bowl.
Add your sugar and mix thoroughly.
Melt your butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
Pour butter into the crumb mixture and stir until combined.
If you are using a springform pan, spray the bottom and sides with cooking spray.
Place crumbs inside and press with a measuring cup or use your fingers.
Bring your crumbs up the sides and press firmly.
Place in the freezer for about an hour if making a no-bake pie like my Easter Jello Pie recipe.
If you are using it for cheesecake, bake in the oven at 350 degrees F for about 10 minutes.
The 9-inch pie plate directions will be the same except bake for about 7-8 minutes.
You can prepare this ahead of time and keep it in the freezer for up to three months.
