Uber Eats Now Delivers From Nearly 600 Costco Warehouses in 47 States

That big Costco run may no longer require a trip to the warehouse.

Costco and Uber have significantly expanded their U.S. delivery partnership, making nearly 600 Costco locations available through Uber Eats across 47 states. The service previously covered Costco locations in 17 states, making the new rollout a major expansion for shoppers who prefer having bulk groceries and household essentials brought to their doors.

The companies announced the expansion on September 16, 2026. Costco members can now use Uber Eats for on-demand delivery or schedule an order for later.

For shoppers who love Costco but do not always love the drive, parking lot, crowded aisles, and oversized cart, the change adds another way to get warehouse purchases home.

The biggest part of the announcement is the scale.

Costco delivery through Uber Eats is now available in 47 states, up sharply from the previous 17-state footprint. Nearly 600 individual Costco locations are participating.

Those 47 states are significant because they represent every U.S. state where Costco currently operates warehouses, according to USA Today’s reporting on the expansion.

Costco said shoppers can use the service for products including fresh produce, bulk groceries, household essentials, and other merchandise available through participating local warehouses.

The exact selection can depend on what is available through a shopper’s nearby Costco on Uber Eats, so customers should check the app before assuming a particular warehouse item can be delivered.

You Still Need a Costco Membership

The partnership does not turn Costco into a completely open marketplace for Uber Eats customers.

Shoppers ordering through the service must add their Costco membership information during checkout. That connects the order with their membership and gives members access to Costco member savings available through the partnership.

The ordering process is straightforward.

Customers open Uber Eats, search for Costco, and choose the closest participating warehouse. They can browse available merchandise, add items to their cart, enter their Costco membership account at checkout, and choose between immediate or scheduled delivery.

Uber Eats also allows customers to track the order in real time as it is shopped and delivered.

That could make the service especially useful when someone needs groceries for the week, supplies for a gathering, or a household essential but doesn’t have time for a warehouse trip.

Costco Memberships Can Also Be Purchased Through Uber Eats

Another interesting part of the partnership is that Uber Eats can now help turn nonmembers into Costco members.

For a limited time, customers can purchase a Costco membership directly through Uber Eats. People who do so can receive 30% off their first eligible Costco order, according to the companies. Terms apply to the promotion.

That gives Uber Eats customers who have considered joining Costco another route into the warehouse club.

It also shows that this partnership goes beyond simply having an Uber Eats shopper pick up groceries. The companies are tying Costco’s membership system directly into the delivery platform.

Costco Members Can Get a Discount on Uber One

Costco shoppers can also save through Uber’s subscription program.

Eligible Costco members can receive 50% off an annual Uber One membership during their first year. After that, eligible members can receive 20% off in subsequent years, according to the official announcement. Terms apply.

Uber also says Uber One members can get no Uber fees on eligible grocery and retail orders over $60 at select stores. Taxes and certain government fees can still apply, and customers should review the conditions inside the app before ordering.

For households that already use delivery regularly, the Costco connection may make Uber One more appealing. For occasional delivery customers, the value will depend on how often they actually order and which stores qualify.

Costco Is Selling Discounted Uber Gift Cards Too

The companies are adding another limited-time offer alongside the expansion.

Participating Costco locations and Costco.com are offering Uber and Uber Eats gift cards worth $100 for $79.99.

That is $20.01 below the gift card’s stated value.

As with other promotional offers tied to the rollout, shoppers should check current terms and availability before purchasing because Uber and Costco describe the gift-card deal as limited-time.

Costco Delivery Is Becoming a Much Bigger Business

The Uber Eats expansion arrives as Costco continues building more ways for members to shop without walking into a warehouse.

Costco already works with other delivery services, including Instacart, and it has also expanded its U.S. relationship with DoorDash. The Associated Press reported in September that DoorDash would also provide delivery from Costco warehouses across the United States.

That means Costco members increasingly have choices when deciding how they want their bulk groceries and household products delivered.

Digital shopping is also becoming more important to the warehouse retailer. Digital Commerce 360 reported that Costco executives said same-day delivery through services including Instacart, Uber Eats, and DoorDash had been growing faster than the company’s overall digital sales earlier in 2026.

The latest Uber Eats expansion fits directly into that broader shift.

The Partnership Goes Beyond the United States

Uber and Costco are not limiting their delivery partnership to American shoppers.

Costco is also available through Uber Eats in Canada, Mexico, Japan, Taiwan, France, and Spain, according to Uber’s announcement.

In the United States, however, the scale is now particularly large.

At the time of the announcement, Costco said it operated 933 warehouses worldwide, including 641 across the United States and Puerto Rico. With nearly 600 locations now appearing on Uber Eats, the delivery platform reaches a large portion of Costco’s domestic warehouse network.

What Costco Shoppers Should Know Before Ordering

For members interested in trying the service, the main thing to remember is that Costco membership remains part of the process.

Search for Costco inside the Uber Eats app, select the available warehouse serving your area, browse its listed products, and connect your Costco membership during checkout.

You can then request delivery immediately or schedule it for later.

Prices, product availability, delivery eligibility, Uber One benefits, promotions, taxes, and other fees can vary by order and applicable terms, so check the final checkout screen before placing an order.

For millions of Costco shoppers, though, the biggest change is simple: the warehouse may still sell enormous packages, but getting those packages home no longer necessarily requires an enormous shopping trip.
