Crescent Roll Pizza Ingredients

  • Crescent roll sheet (If you can’t find the crescent roll sheet, you can use a can of crescent biscuits and pinch the seams together)
  • Marinara sauce – You can use your favorite marinara sauce or pizza sauce. I have even used spaghetti sauce when that was what I had on hand.
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese – I always use whole milk mozzarella cheese. However, I have used part skim when I was watching my calories. 😂
  • Pepperoni slices, finely chopped – Use your favorite pepperoni whether it’s Hormel or Margarita.
  • For exact measurements, please see the recipe card below.

If you have any pizza pinwheels leftover (which I doubt that you will!), just place them in a baggie or an airtight container and place them in the fridge. I would, however, eat them up within a day or two.

How to Make Crescent Roll Pizza Pinwheels

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Unroll the crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface or sheet of parchment paper.

Spread the marinara sauce in an even layer over the top of the dough.

Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top of the sauce.

Add the pepperoni to the top of the cheese.

Roll the dough up into a long log.

Place the roll in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes. It helps to make cutting it easier without squishing it.

Then use a sharp knife to cut the log into 10 1-inch slices.

Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake the crescents for 10 to 12 minutes, until the dough is golden brown.

Serve immediately.

Can You Freeze Pepperoni Pinwheels

Absolutely! Whenever I make an appetizer, especially for football game parties, I want something that can be made ahead of time.

I want to watch the game too ya know. 😉

Once these are done baking, let them cool. I then lay them flat on a cookie sheet and place them in the freezer to flash freeze.

I do this so that they don’t stick together and become a solid brick.

Once they are frozen, place them in a freezer bag and back in the freezer.

When you are ready to use them, thaw them and then bake at 350 degrees for about 10-15 minutes.
